Planned Dates, Due Dates & Reminders on Cards
Plan work windows and stay ahead of deadlines by setting Planned Dates on a card, including a Start Date, Due Date, and optional Reminder.
Set Planned Dates (Start & Due)
- Open the card and go to the Dates section.

- Open Planned Dates dropdown to display the calendar.
- On the calendar:
- Click the first date to set the Start Date.
- Click the second date to set the Due Date.
- Prefer typing? Below the calendar, you can type or edit the Start Date and Due Date directly in their fields.

- To remove either date, uncheck the box to the left of that date field (Unset Start or Unset Due).

Time, Time Zone & Reminder
- Due Time: Next to the Due Date field, choose a time for the due date.
- Time Zone: The country time zone displays below the time. If it’s incorrect, click the pencil icon to update it.

- Reminder (optional): Choose when to be reminded — from 5 minutes before up to 1 week before. Reminders notify all card members (owner + watchers).

Where You’ll See the Dates
- Your selected dates are shown in the Planned Dates box within the Dates section.

- If a reminder is set, a red bell appears in the date box.

- To edit or remove dates/reminder, simply click the Planned Dates box again.
Overdue Indicators
- When the due date has passed, the Dates section header turns red.
- The due date text inside the box and the dates at the bottom also display in red until updated or completed.

- Behind Schedule: Planned End date shows in red if the date is in the past and the card has not yet entered a green Done column.
- Late Start: Actual Start date shows in red if it is later than the Planned Start date.
- Late Finish: Actual End date shows in red if it is later than the Planned End date.
Actual Dates (Start & End)
- Actual Dates are system‑generated to help track what truly happened to cards in Kanban Zone.

- Actual Start date: Recorded when a card first enters a yellow WIP column.
- Actual End date: Recorded when a card first enters a green Done column.
