The Card agent lives inside your cards. It does not work across boards or multiple cards at once. It works on one card at a time to help you clarify the outcome, structure the work, and move it forward.
How to Open the Card Agent
Open any card. Click the AI icon inside the card to open the Card agent panel.

What You Can Ask the Card Agent
When the Card agent opens, it offers a set of quick actions. You can tap any of them or type your own question.
- Define outcome — clarifies what the card is trying to achieve and whether the outcome is well-defined.
- Structure work — breaks the card into a checklist or set of tasks with clear execution steps.
- Next action — identifies the single most important thing to do right now on this card.
- Summarize card — produces a concise summary of the card's content, status, and open items.
- Analyze flow metrics — surfaces signals about how this card is moving through your workflow.
- Improve clarity — rewrites or strengthens the card title or description to reduce ambiguity.
- Check readiness — assesses whether the card is ready to move to the next stage.
You can also type questions directly, such as:
- What is blocking this card from moving forward?
- Can you draft a status update for this card?
- What tasks are missing before this card is done?
What the Card Agent Will Not Do
The Card agent helps you decide and prepare. It does not act on your behalf.
Every change the Card agent proposes — a new title, a description update, a checklist, a comment — is shown to you as a proposal. Nothing is applied until you confirm it. You take the action.
It will not work across multiple cards, redesign your boards, run flow metrics across your organization, or build automations.
If the card is blocked, the Card agent will address the blocker first before suggesting execution steps.
When the Card Agent Hands Off to Another Agent
The Card agent knows its boundaries. When your question belongs to a different agent, it will suggest a switch rather than give you a partial answer.
- Questions about prioritization across multiple cards or boards are handed to the Guide agent
- Questions about board design, columns, or WIP limits are handed to the Board agent
- Questions about flow metrics, cycle time, or forecasting are handed to the Insights agent
- Questions about automating workflow behavior are handed to the Flow agent
