Insights Agent

The Insights agent works at the measurement layer of your workflow. It does not work inside individual cards or redesign your board structure. It works on the board you are currently viewing to help you understand how work is flowing, where it is slowing down, and what your data is telling you.

How to Open the Insights Agent

Click the AI icon in the left navigation bar. The Insights agent panel opens on the left side of your workspace. You must be on a board to use the Insights agent — it is scoped to the board you are currently viewing.

What You Can Ask the Insights Agent

When the Insights agent opens, it offers a set of quick actions. You can tap any of them or type your own question.

  • Flow health — gives you an overall reading of how work is moving through your board, including signals about throughput, aging cards, and WIP balance.
  • Bottlenecks — identifies which columns are slowing work down and explains why based on your current board data.
  • Aging work — surfaces cards that have been in their current column longer than expected and flags those that are most at risk.
  • Cycle time — summarizes how long it is taking for work to move from start to done, and where time is being consumed along the way.
  • Blocked work — shows which cards are blocked, how long they have been blocked, and the impact on overall flow.
  • Throughput — tells you how much work your team is completing and whether that rate is consistent or declining.

You can also type questions directly, such as:

  • Which column is causing the most delay right now?
  • Is our WIP level healthy for this board?
  • What is our average cycle time this month?
  • Are there patterns in what gets blocked?

What the Insights Agent Will Not Do

The Insights agent helps you understand your system. It does not act on your behalf.

It will not modify cards, redesign your board, create automations, or prioritize work on your behalf. It reads your data and explains what it means. You decide what to do with that information.

It will not surface data from other boards. It is scoped to the board you are currently viewing.

When the Insights Agent Hands Off to Another Agent

The Insights agent knows its boundaries. When your question belongs to a different agent, it will be handed off automatically rather than giving you a partial answer.

  • Questions about prioritization across cards or boards are handed to the Guide agent
  • Questions about execution inside a specific card are handed to the Card agent
  • Questions about board design, columns, or WIP limits are handed to the Board agent
  • Questions about automating workflow behavior are handed to the Flow agent
