Column Reorder

You can reorder the cards in a column based on different criteria, such as target date, title, ID, or time in column. You can also choose whether the reorder is a one-time action or whether the column should stay automatically sorted.

Reorder Cards

  1. Go to the column you want to reorder.
  2. Click the ellipsis (⋯) icon in the column header.
  3. Select Reorder Cards…

  4. In the Reorder Cards menu, choose whether you want to sort the cards in Ascending or Descending order.
  5. Select the field you want to use to sort the cards. You can reorder cards by:
    • Target Date
    • Title
    • ID
    • Time in Column
    • Time in Progress
    • Vote
    • Custom Field
  6. Choose whether to turn on Keep Sorted Automatically.
  7. Click Reorder.

One-Time Reorder

If Keep Sorted Automatically is turned off, the reorder is a one-time action. The cards will be arranged according to the selected sorting criteria, but users can freely move the cards afterward.

This is useful when you want to quickly organize a column without restricting how cards can be manually arranged.

Keep Cards Sorted Automatically

When Keep Sorted Automatically is turned on, the cards will remain sorted according to the selected field and ascending or descending order.

For example, if you select Target Date in ascending order, cards will continue to be arranged from the earliest target date to the latest target date.

When automatic sorting is active, a reorder icon appears in the column indicators to show that the column has an active reorder rule.

Turn Off Automatic Sorting

To stop automatically sorting a column:

  1. Open the column’s ellipsis (⋯) menu.
  2. Select Reorder Cards…
  3. Turn off Keep Sorted Automatically.
  4. Click Reorder.

Once automatic sorting is turned off, cards can again be freely reordered.
